Privacy Policy

The site has four places where information reaches us. Here is exactly what each one captures:

We do not collect browsing histories from third parties, we do not buy contact lists, and the site loads no third-party advertising or social-tracking scripts.

We use the information above for three purposes, and only these:

• Responding to your inquiry — quoting, following up, and scheduling the consultation you asked for.
• Service delivery — if you become a client, maintaining the records needed to perform the bookkeeping engagement you signed up for.
• The monthly newsletter — one email a month to addresses that explicitly subscribed, with one-click unsubscribe in every send.

Analytics events and chat transcripts are used to keep the site useful and to improve it. If you are in the EEA/UK, our legal bases are your consent (newsletter, optional form fields), performing or preparing a contract with you (quote follow-up and services), and legitimate interest in operating a secure, working website (analytics, security logs, abuse prevention).

Submissions are stored in an encrypted SQLite database on the operator’s own server — not on a third-party marketing platform. Every administrative action on that data (views of exports, edits, deletions, sign-ins) is written to an internal audit trail so there is a record of who did what. Access to the administration panel is limited to the operator’s team members and protected by signed-in sessions.

We do not sell your personal information — to anyone, ever. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and there are no ad networks on this site to share it with.

The one processor involved: outbound email (quote confirmations and the newsletter) is delivered through Resend, our email delivery provider. Resend processes the email address and message content solely to deliver the email to your inbox. Aside from that, your information stays with us unless the law compels disclosure.

This site sets exactly one cookie: a signed, httpOnly session cookie used by the operator’s administration panel. As a visitor, you are never issued a tracking cookie.

A small amount of browser (local) storage on your own device remembers interface preferences — for example that you’ve dismissed a popup, or where you left a multi-step form. This never leaves your browser and isn’t used to profile you.

Because we run no third-party tracking, browser “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals have nothing to disable here; we honor opt-outs through the channels described under California privacy rights.

Quote requests and newsletter subscriptions are kept until the operator deletes them — for example when a request is stale or you ask us to. If you unsubscribe from the newsletter, your address is flagged as opted out (so we don’t email you again) rather than silently erased; asking us to delete it removes the row entirely. Chat transcripts are kept until deleted. Analytics events contain no identifiers and are kept only in aggregate form for measuring the site.

Every newsletter email carries a one-click unsubscribe link. It opens a verified opt-out page (the link is cryptographically signed so it can’t be forged) and takes effect immediately. A previously unsubscribed address is never silently re-added by submitting a site form — reactivation requires an explicit, audited action by the operator.

You can ask us to:

• show you the personal information we hold about you;
• export it in a portable format;
• correct anything that’s wrong; or
• delete it.

Email info@mrbookkeeper.com from the address you used, and we’ll respond within one business week. The administration panel supports exporting and deleting records directly, so these requests are handled from the source data — not a copy.

This site is a business-to-business bookkeeping service and is not directed to anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has submitted information through the site, email info@mrbookkeeper.com and we’ll delete it.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA) gives you specific rights, and this section explains how they map to what this site actually does.

• Right to know: the categories and specifics above are the complete list — identifiers and contact details you typed into a form, and nothing inferred or purchased from third parties.
• Right to delete: email info@mrbookkeeper.com and we’ll delete your records.
• Right to opt out of sale or sharing: there is nothing to opt out of — we don’t sell or share personal information for advertising, and the site contains no third-party ad trackers. The only “opt-out” that exists here is the newsletter, and its one-click unsubscribe link is the opt-out.
• Non-discrimination: exercising these rights never affects the service or pricing you receive.

We don’t treat browser “Do Not Track” signals differently because the site makes no cross-site tracking requests to honor or ignore. To exercise any right, use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email or write to info@mrbookkeeper.com.
